One more import from God’s own land

March 17, 2008

Boopathy Pandian’s Thiruvilayadal Aarambam and Malaikottai earned him the name of director who can deliver comedy flicks with a casual flourish. For his forthcoming project, he would be introducing his brother Arjun Prabhu into Kollywood as hero. The film is titled Naanum En Sandhyavum and will have a new female lead from Kerala which has

Meera Nandakumar

proved itself to be a repository of talented and beautiful heroines.

Hence from the land of Nayantharas, Meera Jasmines, Navya Nairs, Bhavnas come one more fine looking actress called Meera Nandakumar who has acted with Dileep in Mulla Poovu under Lalu Josh’s direction. It has been alleged that Boopathy Pandian had considered heroines like Kajal Agarwal, Bama and many more before he settled for Meera Nandakumar. Mollywood sources aver that Meera was first spotted in Jeevan TV’s chat show and later in Amrita TV’s program.

Dhanush for Sivaji, Rajini titles

March 17, 2008

Dhanush who recorded an impressive success with Thiruvilayadal Aarambam continued his streak into Polladhavan too. He has just finished Yaaradi Nee Mohini and has singed on the dotted line for yet another Vetrimaran directed flick after Polladhavan.

Dhanush

Besides the actor is also committed for a film produced by Vijaya productions of Thamirabarani fame. Since Thiruvilayadal Aarambam was inspired from Sivaji Ganesan’s Thiruvilayadal and Polladhavan from Rajinikanth’s film of the same name and the films have proved successful at the box office, the crew is scouting for a suitable title of yesteryear film where Sivaji and Rajinikanth had featured together. In all likelihood Viduthalai or Padikkadhavan may be considered.

This new project of Dhanush will be directed by Suraj who made people sit up and take notice with his Marudhamalai and Thalainagaram. Director Suraj had proved that his forte is comedy and a combination with Dhanush who in his own capacity had demonstrated that he can carry any comical sequence with consummate ease should work wonders. Good luck to the team.
